The 12×7 flat top is the general-purpose trailer in the fleet. Side boards, a cage and loading ramps suit green waste hauls, furniture moves, building material runs and any load that fits within the 3,600mm by 2,100mm deck.

The 3.5 tonne hydraulic tilt trailer

The hydraulic tilt trailer is built for moving cars, machinery, and broken-down or non-running vehicles. The bed tilts to ground level for ramp-free loading, and a 12,000lb electric winch pulls dead vehicles up onto the deck.

The flat top suits material moves and general loads; the tilt trailer handles vehicle and machinery transport. Both are picked up from Airlie Beach with a vehicle rated to tow the loaded trailer weight.

Pickup from Airlie Beach

Trailers are collected from Airlie Beach in advance of the hire start. The customer’s tow vehicle hooks up to the trailer at pickup, and the trailer returns to the same Airlie Beach base at the end of the hire.

Tow vehicle requirements

Both trailers run on electric brakes and a 7-pin flat plug, so the tow vehicle needs a compatible brake controller and matching plug. The flat top has a 3,500kg ATM loaded; the hydraulic tilt carries up to 2,500kg payload. The tow vehicle’s towing capacity needs to suit the loaded trailer weight.

What you need to hire

Hires require a current Australian driver’s licence at handover. The minimum hire period is one day, with day rates, weekly rates and long-term rates available.
