Hank’s Equipment Hire is a locally owned, family-run dry hire business based in Airlie Beach, Queensland. (ABN 55 702 523 262), Hank’s hires mini excavators, skid steers, tipper trucks, trailers, generators and tools to tradies, builders, civil contractors and DIY property owners across the Whitsunday Coast.

Why I started Hank’s Equipment Hire

I started Hank’s Equipment Hire to give the Whitsundays a local, owner-operated alternative to chain hire companies and out-of-town competitors. From experience, I know how frustrating it can be when a job needs reliable gear quickly and the only options are corporate yards with limited stock or businesses too far away to be practical. The aim is straightforward: quality equipment, honest service, and someone you can actually get on the phone.

The fleet and how we operate

The Hank’s Equipment Hire fleet runs Caterpillar mini excavators and skid steers, an Isuzu tipper truck, a 12×7 flat top trailer, a 3.5 tonne hydraulic tilt trailer, a 5.8kVA diesel generator, and a tool kit covering post driving, compaction and machinery loading. All gear is dry hire only. Pickup is from the Airlie Beach base, or delivery is quoted across the region. The phone is on 24/7 on 0434 085 029, and calls I can’t get to receive a return within an hour.

Hires beyond the Whitsunday region can be arranged anywhere in Queensland on request.
